This series introduced an increase in displacement from 2.0 to 2.2 litres, engines with cast aluminium-magnesium alloy crankcases, standard stabiliser bars on all models and ventilated disc brakes. Compared to the previous series, the C introduced anti-corrosion treatment on the floorpan and offered increased power on all models. The S was the top of the range and with the power increase to 180 Hp was one of the most powerful road-going GTs of the time.
